Lawrimore Project is pleased to announce the opening of "Masked Infants Milking The Earth - Cascades to Copper Canyon," new photographs and video by Seattle artist Susan Robb. Robb continues her innovative exploration of the American landscape in her new series of aerial photographs produced from images shot over the western U.S. from the Spokane, Washington to Copper Canyon, Texas. The images, split and book-matched, reveal animals, gods, and insects, and the sublimity of the landscape. Similar to her earlier series, shown as part of her last one-person exhibition "The Challenge Nature Provides," these new photographs are presented sculpturally, or as objects to be studied, on powder-coated steel shelves. Showing alongside the photographs, and conceptually akin to their motivations and imagery, we are also please to be presenting "Water Lab," a new video commissioned by Seattle Public Utilities.
